Under the guidance of our Parish work­
er, Boots Spannaus, this program offers
opportunities for students to serve and to
be served.
The program-is planned by a board of
student directors, drawn from interested
and active Lutheran students at North
Texas State University and Texas Woman’s
University.

The board of student directors sponsors:

1. Lutheran Student Suppers, primarily a
Sunday discussion and social program,
designed to acquaint Lutheran students with
one another, over food prepared by the
students and served at a cost of 50$.
2* The Student Bible Class at 10 a.m. every
Sunday morning, presided over by the parish
worker, Boots Spannaus, and offering a
variety of Bible study and discussion.
3* .The Ambassador Program which encourages
Lutheran students to call upon one another
in an attempt to prove helpful in all aspects
of Christian life and service. The first
Ambassador Meeting will be held Thursday,
September 30, 5*.30 p.m. with dinner at the
parsonage, followed by orientation and
calls.

Rides are furnis hed to students by
church members fifteen minutes before
regularly scheduled events at St. Paul’s.
Rides leave from the main (east) door of
Hubbard Hall at TWU and Marquis Hall at NTSU.
The pastor, as well as the parish
worker, is ready to counsel with students
in whatever problems they may face.

Lutheran students, confirmed members
of a Lutheran church, are invited and urged
to attend Holy Communion regularly in St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church. Announcement is
made by signing a card at the entrance to
the church.

First Semester 1965-66

Sept. 17, 5:30 p.m. - Supper and Frosh
Welcome.
Sept. 26, 6:00 p.m. - District sponsored
dinner. Speaker will be the Rev. Carl
Heckmann, President, Texas District,
Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Oct. 3, 5:30 p.m.
- Dick Bourque and Gene
Fenske, Lutheran Inner City Peace Corps
workers discuss their year in Dallas.
Oct. 10
- Student Sunday.
Congregation members invite students
to Sunday dinner.

�Oct. 17,
- Mission Festival.
Students joirv congregation for a
festive dinner at noon, followed by
a panel of foreign students discussing
the role of Church and Gospel in their
countries.
Oct. 24
- Leave after lunch for
outing at Dallas Fair Park, to include
visit to the Museum of Fine Arts.

Oct. 31, 5:30 p.m. -A panel of students,
including Negro, Catholic, Jew, and
foreign students discuss the problems
facing their minority groups on the
campus and in present American society.
Nov. 7, 5:30 p.m. - Supper at the
Parsonage, followed by a Record .Listen­
ing Party.
Nov. 14, 5:30 p.m. - A progressive dinner
in the homes of congregational members
will feature five courses: hors d’oeuvres,
soup, salad, main course and dessert.

Nov. 21, 5:30 p.m.- - Supper and a Special
Thanksgiving Vesper Service.

Dec. . 5, 5:30 p.m. - A "Drive-In Hamburger
Supper" precedes a bowling party at
the Holiday Lanes.
Dec. 12, 5:30 p.m. - Christmas caroling
will follow a brief supper. The eve­
ning concludes with a donut gry
the parsonage.

Jan. 9,
5:30 p.m* - "Scenes in Con­
temporary Folk Music" to be presented
by
by Boots Spannaus will include the
listening of records by such artists
as Baez, Bob Dylan, and Pete Seeger.
Jan. 16, 5:30 p.m. - Informal evening of
food and talk at the parsonage.
STUDENT BIBLE CLASS
First Semester 1965-66
Course I.

Discussion led by Boots Spannaus,
Parish Worker, will cover the following
dates: September 19, 26, October 3 and 10.

October 17 - Combine with Adult Bible Class
to hear The Rev. Alvin Meissner, former
missionary to Nigeria, now pastor of Good
Shepherd Lutheran Church, Azle, Texas, who
will show slides and discuss "The Challenge
of Nigeria."

The course includes a series of six
filmstrips, moderated by marriage counsellor
and psychologist, The Rev. Canon Bryan Green.
